Orro hires HPE exec as its new CTO, plus appoints group executive, delivery transformation
Two new appointments to help the company scale nationally.
End-to-end digital transformation partner Orro has made two executive appointments, including hiring Stuart Long as its new chief technology officer (CTO).
Orro has also hired Matthew Maw as its group executive, delivery transformation. Both these appointments are to help the company scale its national capability and accelerate innovation.
In his role as CTO, Long will now lead Orro’s technology agenda nationally, ensuring strong alignment between innovation, customer outcomes and market opportunity.
Long replaced Michael van Rooyen, who is leaving the company after two years.
He was recently the field CTO for Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) South Pacific. Since joining Orro as a senior member of the company’s critical infrastructure business, Long has played an important role in shaping technical strategy and customer solutions.
As the group executive, delivery transformation, Maw will build on his leadership within Orro’s critical infrastructure business. In this new role, he will lead the continued evolution of the company’s delivery model, with a focus on operational excellence and scalable transformation.
He is a seasoned technology executive, with extensive experience across cloud, infrastructure and operations.
Before joining Orro, he held senior roles at Nutanix, VMware, Cisco and Tatts Group.
Daniel Greengarten, CEO of Orro said as the company grows, it’s critical that they continue to bring innovation to market in a way that’s scalable, secure and deeply customer-focused.
“Long and Maw have already made a significant impact within the business – and I’m excited to see them take on these roles to lead our next phase of growth,” he said.
“These appointments reflect the strength of leadership we have within Orro. They ensure we continue to deliver on our promise of being a truly differentiated technology partner across networks, cloud, security and critical infrastructure.”
Greengarten commented on the previous CTO, van Rooyen’s departure.
“During his time at Orro, van Rooyen has brought leadership and technical knowledge that has helped to shape the business into what it is today. We wish van Rooyen all the best in his next role and thank him for his immeasurable contribution to Orro,” he ended.
