Telstra’s Chinese acquisition to grow Sensis revenue

Telstra’s 55 percent acquisition of two Chinese Internet businesses will help it meet its ambitous revenue targets for its Sensis division.

Telstra has acquired controlling stakes in two Chinese Internet businesses in the fast-growing online auto and digital device advertising sectors. The Telco believes these will provide high-growth opportunities for its buy, find and sell business, Sensis.

In other news, Australian ISP Internode has put out a call to save copper-line broadband. Internode claims ADSL2+ will be killed off by the National Broadband Network's Fibre to the Node system.
